Today...

I haven't blogged in a while and I keep saying that I'm going to get better at it.  Today I have been sitting here for 2 hours doing nothing when I have so many things that I could be doing, but all I can think about is missing my family.  Maybe that's because I am in the process of making a dvd for my GG for her 80th birthday that is coming up in 2 weeks.  My mom has been sending some pictures of her and our family.  Here are some pictures.

My Grandfather and GG...I never met him, but I have heard my whole life that he was an extraordinary man, father, and grandfather.  My mom has told me stories that he loved being a granddaddy!

My GG is one of the neatest people I have ever met.  Amanda and I have learned so much more about her in the past several years.  Amanda learned that she was on the swim team...and even my mom didn't know that.  Funny, how older people "forget" to tell you things.  She is intelligent, she is witty, she can be mean, and she is loving.  She is someone that I have looked up to in my life and didn't even realize it until I got older.  I have watched her with her great grandchild and wish I could "really" remember how she was with Leslie and I when we were little.  She used to scream at us in the department stores because we would be hiding in the clothes racks, she would take us to McDonald's on Wednesday's because it was Senior Citizens Day and she could have her fried fish sandwich, she was always there for us whether that be Christmas morning or a dance recital.  I have grown to learn and appreciate everything that she has done for me over the years.  I'm sitting here crying thinking about all the wonderful times we have had together and I cannot wait to go home and hug her neck and tell her how much I love her on her birthday...I cannot wait.

2nd day of Boston

Our 2nd day of Boston pictures.  We first went to the Kennedy Museum, which was awesome!  It was really well done and it was interesting to know things that you don't see about when he was younger and things about the first lady that you might not know about.  We got to see part of the Berlin wall, which was pretty cool.              

The next thing we did was go on the Freedom trail.  It's a 2.5 mile walk following a red line around Boston seeing all the historical sites.  It was pretty cool :)

1st Day of Boston

We came to Boston yesterday and had a great day just shopping around town, picking up "Boston to do" books, drinking coffee, and being really cold already.  Mom this post is for you! :)  Today is going to be an exciting day because we're doing the tourist stuff and to a Red Sox game tonight...should be fun!!!  Will update more tomorrow :)

March madness is here and I am actually the leader in our brackets as of now!  Crazy.  Needless to say that the next few weeks will be consumed with nightly basketball games!  Hope everyone enjoys!

So..we have a new computer

We have a new computer so now that I am able to sit on the couch, watch tv, play on the computer, and quite possibly even talk on the phone...I am one happy girl!  Anyways, so hopefully I will begin to blog about the things that are going on in my life...only really for myself, nobody else.  Of course if you would like to read that is just wonderful.

My family came this weekend and it was awesome.  St. Patrick's Day parade, lots of treats for Emily, and a very tired Aunt at the end of the weekend...it was great!  We played on the macbook and took some pictures!  Enjoy.

Eggs...

So, today I have been home by myself and I have been sad. You know sometimes you are just sad and you don't know why or what it's about?! I have been very emotional today...crying at times and having Rebound look at me like I am crazy, but of course he would always just come and lay by me, it's his way of telling me that he loves me. Anyways, I think I finally realized why I'm sad. My parents were suppose to come this weekend and they weren't able to come. I haven't seen my family since July and I won't get to see any of them until the end of November. I know that doesn't sound like a long time, but for me it is. I miss them terribly. I have built a family life here with Amanda and Rebound and I wouldn't change that for the world, but I am missing them a lot today. I am trying to get into this teaching program...I'm applying right now, so keep me in your thoughts...and hopefully it will all work out. We saw an old friend of mine last night, interesting...sometimes it's good to see people from your past if reminds you of where you have been and how far you've come. I was thinking back on those days last night after we got home and I have completely changed since then...changed for the better...more mature...and heading in the right direction now. About the eggs, I was cooking dinner for myself toinght, Amanda is on call, and I wanted breakfast. So I fried some bacon up and then had fried eggs...and I got an egg with 2 yolks. That's gotta be good luck, I just know it.

ROLL TIDE!!!!

ROLL TIDE!!!! So, I have been thinking about Alabama football all week and thinking that I should blog about it, but I have just now gotten around to it. So they are ranked #2 and I just can't believe it, nor can I believe that I am this obsessed with football, it's crazy! (Heather, you made me this way...and then I just continued on with it!) I love it, I love everything about it...I love the sounds, I love the whistles, I love yelling at the TV, I love the food that you get to eat while you watch the game, I love the beer that you get to drink too :), I absolutely love this time of year!!! The weather is cooler and there is nothing else to do but football, it's amazing, even more amazing when your team is doing great! We need to watch out this weekend for Kentucky, and hopefully our heads won't get too big since we stomped Georgia last week! We shall just wait and see...only time will tell.
